CREATIVE DEVELOPMENT - PHASE ONE DRILL Performance Company under the direction of Joshua Lowe undertook a two-week creative development during which the beginnings of a new contemporary dance-theatre work were created as a collaboration between young and emerging artists from Melbourne. DRILL set a standard for developing its own unique brand of dance-theatre when it produced the highly successful work Fy in 2010. Combining dance and voice with visually spectacular production elements, the company's new work entitled Grimra will be even more creatively ambitious and will build upon the successes of Fy. The creative development took place in Melbourne in July and finished with a sharing of the work for invited guests. CREATIVE DEVELOPMENT - PHASE TWO DRILL will be continuing to work on and develop Grimra throughout 2012, focusing on creating a unique body of choreography.
