Synopsis

'Have you ever tried to live without the make-up?'

MASQUE is a fiery and thought provoking new work, utilizing contemporary dance and song to explore humanity’s use of masks. Masks are used to conceal identities, hide emotions and thoughts, they can blind, lie, mislead, yet shelter, protect and hold such beauty. People everywhere, everyday, use masks, it’s a habit that is sometimes so hard to break.

MASQUE will be a full length production in two acts to be performed in Launceston’s Earl Arts Centre for 4 performance over three nights, August 17th to 19th. Choreographed by Joshua Lowe and Cindy Foster. MASQUE has a cast of 18 singers and dancers aged 10 to 25 who have been in rehearsal since April 1st.
