BE A PART OF DRILL'S 2018 SENIOR COMPANY
DRILL's next major dance work with young people, NEON, is here and we're looking for dancers aged 14 to 30 to form our 2018 senior company.
DRILL creates new, site-specific contemporary dance works with local young movers, including Radical Kid (2015), Trash This Place (2016) and Cold Omens (2017), all winners of the Tasmanian Theatre Award for Best Production.
NEON will be three 20-minute pieces, choreographed by Joshua Lowe, Angela Barnard and Jaala Jensen, each one in response to one of the chemical elements from the Periodic Table. All dancers in the company will be performing in all three works. In the final performance season, they will be performed all at once and looped three times, with the audience roaming the venue and deciding on which work to watch, and in what order. DRILL creates works that challenge how the audience experiences them, and NEON will be no exception.
This project will span over two years, with an extensive creative development during 2018, and the performance season in 2019. You do NOT need to be available in 2019 to participate in the 2018 creative development.
Participants MUST be registered before they can attend the call out. Once registered, simply follow the directions and requirements in the pack. If you have any questions at all, please contact Josh on 0408 660 748 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
