DRILL Artistic Director Joshua has this week been announced at the new Artistic Director of Melbourne’s pre-professional contemporary dance company, Yellow Wheel!

Yellow Wheel was founded in 2012 by Adam Wheeler. In August this year Adam relocated to Launceston to take up the position of Artistic Director of Tasdance.

Joshua already has a long history with Yellow Wheel, working as the Company Manager since 2012. In his new role as Artistic Director he will be supported by Yellow Wheel’s Associate Director, Kyall Shanks.

Yellow Wheel provides training and performance opportunities for highly-skilled young and emerging dancers and recent tertiary graduates, and is strongly connected to the dance industry in Melbourne.

Having just received organisational funding from Arts Tasmania, Joshua remains committed to his role with DRILL and the exciting program planned for 2019 and beyond. Working at the helm of both companies will allow Joshua to facilitate new opportunities for connection and collaboration between Tasmania and Victoria. A partnership between the two companies will support young Tasmanians seeking further training interstate, opening up new pathways and networks.
