We are very excited to share with you the launch of our 2019 program! In what will be DRILL's biggest year to date, we will be sharing seven new performances, working with thirteen project partners, creating dance with seventeen local schools, and getting thousands of local young people moving!
Some highlights include:
+ Our major season NEON, choreographed by Joshua Lowe, Angela Barnard and Jaala Jensen, with original scores created by three emerging composers, supported by the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra.
+ Commissioning The Stance by Liesel Zink, presented as a part of Ten Days on the Island.
+ A new program for eleven primary and secondary schools in the City of Clarence, delivered in collaboration with Dancenorth.
+ Connecting practicing scientists with students in our Dance Nexus program, with the help of Young Tassie Scientists.
+ Launching a new choreographic program in partnership with Tasdance and Salamanca Arts Centre to support emerging local choreographers.
+ Offering two Junior Companies, one on the Eastern Shore and one hosted by Moonah Arts Centre.
