Something

Only a month after Nothing, we presented our second improvised work, Something, at the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery. For this performance DRILL company members spent the day inside the central gallery, interacting with the space and museum patrons to develop a rough score for the performance. We were also joined by Stompin company members from Launceston, who contributed to the creation of the work and performed alongside DRILL.

We performed to a sold out crowd who got to join us in the museum after closing hours - photos are below!

Nothing

After a spending a week in intensive rehearsals, the 2018 Senior Company presented Nothing  on top of the water reservoirs at the Queens Domain. This week was the company's first time coming together, and included DRILL alumni and a number of brand new members. They were also joined by Jaala Jensen, a DRILL alumna from 2013, and one of the three choreographers for DRILL's 2019 major season, NEON.

Nothing was an entirely improvised work with nothing rehearsed, no instructions and no music. We were very fortunate to perform as the sun set and the moon rose, creating a beautiful atmosphere for the audience who joined us for the evening. Check out the photos below!
